437 watt TEC exposed as fake.

I’ve always believed the 437 watt TEC to be incorrect but I’ve been unable to find any manufactures details giving me genuine data. I have believed the 437 to be incorrect because while moving 437 it was achieving a delta of 74c which is far higher than anything else.

Using the number below I believe the 437 and 74c delta to be at a rated temp of 50-54c or twice the normal rating of 26.85 (300 kelvin)

I might point out that the below reason given for the 360(437) TEC being able to handle more voltage and current than what it should do is NORMAL and ALL TECs can exceed the rated data when the temp is increased..

The next revolution in TEC cooling! This peltier fits most manufacturers water blocks based around the 50mm x 50mm TEC, and moves nearly as much heat as the 437W TEC! Testing on a Danger Den Mach-4 TEC water block show that it produces nearly the same results as the 437W TEC on the Wintch Labs Arctic Web.

Although this is a 36 volt TEC, it was tested with the Meanwell PSP-600-48 power supply and found to work great.

In all reality, the 437W TEC is a 360W TEC that can handle a higher voltage and amperage so that it can move a calculated 437W of heat. It is still manufactured as a 360W product.

Here are the specifications of the 437W TEC from the manufacturer:

Umax : 25

Imax : 24

Delta-T Max : 66C

Qmax : 360

Measurements : 62x62x3.55

Resistance : .75

Here are the specifications for the new 50x50mm 345W TEC :

Umax : 34

Imax : 16

Delta-T Max : 67C

Qmax : 345

Measurements : 50x50x3.95

Resistance : 1.40-1.50
